A small introduction about the Young Zoroastrian Society

Young Zoroastrian Society is a Scout Guide Group of The Zoroastrian Community, which conducts regular weekly meetings for Scouting and Guiding Progress along with fun adventures, discovering new things and experiences, which they wouldn’t discover elsewhere, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills.

Along the way, they develop into capable, confident, trustworthy and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success and service in the world.

The Young Zoroastrian Society and The 16th East Bombay Zoroastrian Bharat Scout Group was founded on 1st August, 1920 by the Late Scouters Ardeshir Jilla and Merwanji Mehta. The 71st East Bombay Zoroastrian Bharat Guide Group was established on 1st August, 1993.

Our Scout and Guide Group has been proactive ever since its inception and have turned out competent men and women who are now successful in their own field of work and continue to contribute their time and skills for the betterment of Scouts and Guides of our group.

To Enhance the abilities of boys and girls of the Zoroastrian Community to work for themselves and for others, independently and instruct and incorporate in boys and girls the fundamental teachings of the Zoroastrian religion and strive after character formation and patriotism, based on courage and self-reliance, with a view to training citizens, remarkable for all-round development and sincere commitment to God and Country and leading lives that are socially meaningful.

To contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout/ Guide/Cub/ Bulbul Promise and Law to help build a better world where people use their skills and are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in Society.
